Cafe Assistant

He is responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: Greet customers, answer the queries about menu, provide recommendations, and handle complaints professionally to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Order processing: Take customer orders accurately and input them into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Process payments efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
• Food and beverage preparation: Prepare hot and cold beverages (such as coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and smoothies) and food items (including wraps, sandwiches, and salads) according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness: Keep all work areas, including the counter, food preparation stations, and seating areas, clean and organized.
• Inventory management: Monitor and restock inventory, including coffee beans, food ingredients, and supplies like napkins and cups. Assist with tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
• Adherence to regulations: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
• Team collaboration: Work effectively with other team members.

Qualifications and skills

• Qualification: Minimum 10th Pass.
• Experience: Previous experience in a cafe, hospitality, or customer-facing role.
• Communication skills: Must have good verbal and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Multitasking ability: Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
• Attention to detail: A commitment to accuracy is needed for taking complex orders, handling cash, and maintaining quality in food and drink preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety: Familiarity with health and hygiene regulations is important.
• Basic math skills: Competence in basic arithmetic is needed for accurately processing transactions and handling cash.
