Job Description

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in CAD packaging to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 7 years of experience and be proficient in using Catia V5 and its various modules.

Roles and Responsibility

Packaging electrical components within the vehicle layout.
Reviewing the vehicle layout to ensure appropriate placement of electrical components.
Developing concept designs for both plastic and metal parts required for packaging the electrical components.
Defining the assembly process and providing ongoing support to the assembly team.
Conducting tolerance stack-up analyses at the vehicle assembly level.
Ensuring CAD-based layout on actual vehicle build/Proto.
Performing manual wire routing according to established guidelines and executing auto routing using provided ECAD data.
Creating potential solutions for any conflicts that arise during the layout process and drafting new guidelines as needed.
Preparing component and assembly drawings, releasing them, and creating the assembly manual.
Drafting patent documents.

Job Requirements

Proficient in using Catia V5 and its various modules.
Strong understanding of drawing preparation, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Experience in packaging 2W, 3W, and 4W automotive products.
Good understanding of how electrical layout can impact part failure.
Ability to coordinate with CFT teams for Proto vehicle management w.r.t EE part layout and updation.
Experienced in both manual and automated wire routing.
Knowledge of basic electrical functionality checks using user manuals and electrical instruments.
Develop the electrical layout according to established guidelines and perform tolerance stack-up analysis for mounting components.
Create the assembly manual and prepare/release component and assembly drawings.
Perform manual wire routing according to established guidelines and execute auto routing using provided ECAD data.
Draft new guidelines based on the current project.
