Job Description

Position Summary:

  • We are seeking a proactive Sales Engineer with experience in CAD/CAM/CAE software solutions to drive business growth through client acquisition and relationship management. The role involves understanding technical requirements, proposing suitable software solutions, and supporting clients through the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to expand sales of CAD/CAM/Production software solutions.
  • Manage and grow both direct and indirect sales networks (channel partners/distributors).
  • Identify, acquire, and nurture key customer accounts across manufacturing and engineering industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Achieve assigned sales revenue and profitability targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and analyze competitive positioning.
  • Provide pre-sales support through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and support teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Maintain regular reporting of leads, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in CAM software, machinery, machine tool, or cutting tool sales.
  • Proven track record in managing direct and indirect (channel) sales.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships and close high-value deals.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Willing to travel as required for client visits and exhibitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Business (Mechanical or Production preferred).
  • MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred (not mandatory).
  • Exposure to CAD/CAM/CAE software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar is an added advantage
