The role involves monitoring, studying, analyzing, and understanding market trends for different categories of garments. You will be required to analyze research results and utilize data to forecast future outcomes. Executing trends into saleable options to achieve target sales and margins will be a key responsibility. You must ensure that all customer expectations are met in terms of fashionability, variety, quality, and price. Analyzing past sales patterns to anticipate consumer buying trends and acting as a key driver for the department's look and feel are part of the role. Visualizing, planning, and executing a detailed assortment mix of the department according to budgets and customer requirements is essential. You will be responsible for managing the price architecture, option count, and ensuring adequate variety at stores. Other responsibilities include creating purchase orders based on planners" demand forecast and requisitions, negotiating purchase value and terms with suppliers, and liaising with vendors to understand trends and new products. Ensuring the right product at the right price from the right type of vendors is crucial. The ideal candidate should have 4 to 7 years of experience and a minimum qualification of graduation in fashion designing, preferably with a PG diploma or degree from a top fashion institute. Key skills required for this role include the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong reporting, team working, vendor management, and prioritization skills. Good organizational skills, self-management, and goal-setting abilities are necessary. The candidate should be able to manage a heavy workload, conflicting priorities, and track progress on various tasks. An in-depth understanding of the product lifecycle stages and thorough knowledge of costing and quality norms in the apparel industry are also essential.,
