Buyer - Procurement

You will be supporting the Supply Chain Procurement team in day-to-day activities and collaborating with suppliers to expedite the delivery of components for the Germany Service Centre. **Role Overview:** As part of the Supply Chain Procurement team, your main responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the procurement of goods and services as per the standard process workflow. - Creating accurate and timely purchase orders and transmitting them to suppliers. - Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely reordering from suppliers. - Maintaining supplier relationships and resolving any issues that may arise. - Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. - Resolving conflicts proactively and escalating when necessary to ensure progress. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and transmit purchase orders, expedite delivery when needed. - Monitor inventory levels and reorder from suppliers in a timely manner. - Maintain supplier relationships and resolve issues. - Collaborate with various departments for smooth operations. - Resolve conflicts proactively and escalate if needed. - Adhere to Supply Chain management processes and Hitachi Energy integrity guidelines. - Act as a role model for the team, following IS security policy. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree. - Hands-on experience working with SAP MM module. - Knowledge of ERP system and P2P process. - Proficient in MS Office tools. - Excellent English language skills, German language is an added advantage. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage customer expectations.
