Buyer & Expeditor

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the process of ordering vendors based on their capability, capacity, and strategic importance. Your role will involve working in a team of buyers, where your excellent communication skills and motivation will be key to planning, coordinating, and leading the team effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Procure copper items, castings, and other materials as required, expediting the process to meet project timelines. - Send Requests for Quotation (RFQ) along with technical documents to suppliers and evaluate their offers to prepare a comparative statement. - Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for the organization. - Release Purchase Orders (PO) after obtaining necessary approvals within the authority matrix. - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to the factory after clearance from Quality/ end users. - Develop and maintain relationships with new suppliers, working closely with the QA team for supplier development and supplies. - Utilize knowledge of import procedures, Letter of Credit, and other relevant regulations to facilitate procurement activities. - Achieve cost targets through effective strategies, resource management, and negotiation techniques. - Utilize SAP modules, particularly MM & Finance, for procurement activities and tracking Purchase Requests (PR). - Maintain technical soundness in systems and demonstrate knowledge of ISO/IMS standards. Qualifications Required: - Experience in procurement and vendor management within the Manufacturing Industry, Fabrication, or Heavy Engineering sector. - Proficiency in SAP modules, specifically MM & Finance. - Strong knowledge of import procedures, Letter of Credit, and related documentation. - Familiarity with ISO/IMS standards and quality management systems. - Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, and ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.,
