Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement of educational products, books, stationery, and learning tools for our hypermarket. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer trends, vendor negotiation, and inventory management to ensure optimal product mix and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify emerging trends in educational products and consumer preferences
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service
• Negotiate contracts and purchase terms to secure favorable deals
• Plan and manage budgets for product categories
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment
• Analyze sales data to identify strong and weak performers
• Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams for product placement and promotions
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to discover new products and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in procurement

Required Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in retail buying or merchandising
• Experience in educational or bookstore retail is a plus
