Business Intelligence Architect

Role Overview: As a Business Intelligence (BI) Architect at Astellas, you will be a key member of the FoundationX team within the DigitalX organization. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain business intelligence solutions that drive value for the company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture aligns with business objectives, utilizing your expertise in QLIK and/or Power BI to create scalable and efficient BI solutions. This role offers a global opportunity to contribute to critical IT solutions and initiatives across various business domains. Key Responsibilities: - Data Architecture: - Develop and maintain scalable data models. - Design and implement logical and physical data models. - Translate business analysis and reporting requirements into high-quality BI designs and dashboards. - BI Solution Development: - Optimize BI solutions using tools like SQL Server and Power BI Desktop. - Create and enhance data pipelines for efficient data processing. - Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the BI ecosystem. - Leadership and Collaboration: - Provide analytical and technical leadership for BI and reporting. - Mentor junior BI team members. - Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate BI solutions. - Best Practices and Standards: - Develop and enforce BI best practices and standards. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. - Participate in smaller focused mission teams to deliver value-driven solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience. - 7+ years using Qlik, PowerBI, or equivalent technologies. - Analytical mindset and logical thinking. - Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts. - Web integration skills (Qlik Sense). - Advanced SQL knowledge. - Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, D3.js) is a plus. - Subject Matter Expertise in data architecture/ engineering/operations/reporting within Life Sciences/Pharma industry. - Data Analysis and Automation Skills: Proficient in identifying, standardizing, and automating critical reporting metrics and modeling tools.
