Business Functional Analyst

Job Purpose

• Analyse, translate, and articulate Business concepts into system/process requirements with the objective to implement IT enabled solutions that meet Business user requirements within the regulatory guidelines and organizations priorities at any point of time with the objective to comply to the same.
• Support post go-live queries / issues for these requirements as well as BAU production support.

• Control & Oversight:

  Implement a centralized platform to manage the entire lifecycle of Models, from development to retirement. Enable comprehensive monitoring and management of all models used across various banking functions

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  : Implement system functionalities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of models by evaluating and mitigating potential risks associated with various issues identified during validation & monitoring

• Regulatory Compliance

  : Implement system functionalities that align with evolving compliance requirements with regulatory standards and internal policies throughout the model lifecycle.

• Efficiency Improvement

  : Streamline model development, deployment, and maintenance processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce redundancy.

• Auditability

  : Establish comprehensive logging and tracking systems to enable thorough model auditing and version control.

• Collaboration

  : Facilitate collaboration among data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders by providing a unified environment for model development and validation.

• Transparency

  : Provide clear documentation and audit trails for all model-related activities, promoting transparency and accountability.

Key Skills

MCA / MBA / BE / MSc / B Tech or BSc IT / Graduation / BSc or MSc Stats / FRM / CA / CFA

1. 4-8 years' experience which could be a combination of

a. Technical domain understanding across Banking Applications, especially Model Governance / Model Validation workflows / Credit or Market Risk Models testing / Workflow based Applications / Datalake applications.

b. System functional knowledge, related banking/process knowledge and relate skills viz: Analytical, Workflow, Documentation, Communication

c. Exposure to Various product lines mentioned “Credit Risk’, “Market Risk”, “Rating Models”, etc

1. System functional knowledge, related banking/process knowledge and relate skills viz: Analytical, Workflow, Documentation, Communication
2. Experience in “IBM’s Cloud Pack for Data”, “Solytics Partners – Nimbus”, etc will be preferred / added advantage.
3. Good Exposure to domains of banking
4. Performance Tests / Benchmarks, Integration with Autosys, TNG, etc. related tasks.
5. Constantly identify initiatives to improve process efficiency and TAT’s.
6. Vendor Co-ordination – Interact with Vendor on-site / Off-Site Delivery Teams for getting deliverables as per Project Timelines, tracking slippages, ensuring quality of deliverables and necessary escalations and arrive at remedial measures
7. Good to have if exposed to

a. SDLC and STLC & Performance testing concepts

b. Awareness of Project Management methodologies, SDLC (Planning, Feasibility Study, Requirements Analysis, Technical Architecture & Design, Development, Testing – UT / SIT / UAT, Implementation, Support, Documentation), Process & Quality.
