Job Description

Hiring: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Department: Passive Network Infrastructure

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Network Infra & Integration Services (NIIS) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities related to Structured Cabling Solutions (SCS), Data Centre Infrastructure (DC Design & Build), Power Solution (UPS), AV Solution (Audio Video) , Safety Surveillance & ELV. The role involves managing client relationships, developing proposals, and coordinating with technical and project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for

    NIIS offerings

    ( Structured Cabling, UPS, CCTV , AV & Access Control)
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prospect, qualify, and generate new leads through direct sales, channel partners, consultants, and GCC.
  • Prepare and present proposals, RFP responses, and technical-commercial offers.
  • Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

2. Client & Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with

    end customers, consultants, OEMs (e.g., Commscope, Molex, Panduit, Belden, APC, Vertiv, Legrand, Samsung, LG, D-Link, Axis,Bosch, Honeywell, Matrix etc.), and distributors

    .
  • Understand client requirements and provide customized networking solutions.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and ensure repeat business.

3. Market & Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on

    latest technologies, standards, and trends

    in structured cabling, data center infrastructure, and network solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and industry segments (BFSI, IT/ITES, Government, Pharma, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, Hospitality etc.).
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales and design team for solution preparation.

4. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal project, procurement, and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline reports, forecasts, and CRM data.
  • Report on sales performance and market feedback to Business Head/Sr.VP.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in

    Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications / IT)

    or equivalent.
  • MBA in Marketing or Business Development (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5–10 years

    of experience in

    sales/business development of Networking Infrastructure

    .
  • Proven experience in structured cabling system sales (Fiber & Copper), data center infrastructure, or ELV systems.
  • Strong network in corporate, enterprise, and government sectors.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with standards such as

    TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and BICSI

    .
  • Understanding of

    LAN/WAN infrastructure, racks, patch panels, and cabling systems

    .
  • Knowledge of

    OEM brands

    (e.g., CommScope, Molex, Panduit, D-Link, R&M, APC, Vertiv, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell..etc ).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent

    communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

    .
  • Strong

    relationship management

    and

    solution-selling

    approach.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Growth in new customer acquisition.
  • Repeat business and customer retention rate.
  • Timely submission of proposals and reports.
  • Pipeline management and conversion ratio.
