Job Description

Role & responsibilities

* Prospect, identify and qualify new clients (brands, D2C businesses, agencies) that align with GoVirals specialisation in influencer & meme-marketing.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in marketing, brand & creative functions.

* Develop and deliver compelling pitches and proposals that reflect GoVirals value: influencer reach, meme/content virality, ROI.

* Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, creative, influencer relations) to ensure proposals are compelling, feasible and aligned with client objectives.

* Lead the sales cycle: lead generation needs analysis proposal negotiation contract closure.

* Monitor market trends in influencer marketing, meme culture, creator platforms and social media to keep GoViral ahead of the curve.

* Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets and pipeline metrics.

* Attend industry events, creator meetups, brand networking forums to expand our business network and represent the agency.

* Provide feedback to team on market opportunities, competitor activity, client needs and evolving content formats.

Preferred candidate profile

* 3-6 years of business development, sales or partnership experience, ideally within digital marketing, influencer marketing, media or advertising.

* Demonstrable track record of closing deals and achieving revenue targets.

* Good understanding of influencer marketing, creator economy, social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Shorts etc.).

* Keen interest in internet culture, memes, trends, viral formats and how they influence brand engagement.

* Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

* Self-motivated, target-driven, comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative and evolving environment.

* Ability to work cross-functionally with creative/strategy teams and translate client needs into campaign concepts.

* Existing network within influencer/creator communities or prior experience working with talent management.

* Experience with performance- or ROI-based influencer campaigns (metrics like engagement rates, CPM, conversion).

* Understanding of content production workflows, meme page operations, viral growth tactics.

* Familiarity with the Indian market, regional languages or regional creator ecosystems (useful for Bengaluru / India operations).
