About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Development Executive with strong analytical and communication skills to manage freelancer vetting, quality assurance, and service moderation for a global service marketplace.

This role involves validating the authenticity, professionalism, and quality of service listings created by freelancers and agencies across multiple business and creative categories.

The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, an understanding of service-based businesses, and the ability to assess profiles, portfolios, and videos based on predefined standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Freelancer & Agency Vetting

  • Evaluate freelancers and agencies based on their portfolio, work samples, and listed expertise.
  • Validate claims of notable clients and professional credentials to ensure authenticity.
  • Conduct agency vetting and moderation, ensuring only qualified vendors are approved.

2. Gig Evaluation & Approval

  • Review and approve service listings (Gigs) as per quality and compliance criteria.
  • Assess intro videos and ensure they meet content, quality, and professional standards.
  • Verify external reviews for legitimacy and relevance.
  • Handle gig conversions, ensuring services are placed in the correct categories.
  • Manage Pro Updated Gigs reviewing corrected Gigs, verifying updates, and approving revised submissions.

3. Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams and the support desk (Zendesk) to resolve vetting and moderation issues.
  • Communicate with freelancers/agencies to request corrections or clarifications as needed.
  • Provide feedback and ensure continuous improvement in listing quality.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Operations, Communication, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in business development, content moderation, or quality assurance (preferably in service-based marketplaces).
  • Strong understanding of digital services such as design, marketing, IT, writing, or business consulting.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to review large volumes of profiles with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Familiarity with video content evaluation and online vetting standards is a plus.
