The Opportunity:(Brief Overview of the Role)

As part of DAO, DAO ESGs vision is for the ESG Data Utility to be the single location for all ESG data, BI and analytics delivery to meet the Groups ESG and Sustainability ambitions, which aim to help address climate change and wider ESG issues, to help customers and societies build the resilience needed to adapt, flourish and to open up a world of opportunity.

To achieve the vision, DAO ESG aims to implement scalable solutions to ensure ESG data is available and accessible on time and accurately, to enable client's commercial and committed aspirations.

What you'll do:(List out Key Responsibilities)

  • Requirements management, analysis and documenting all relevant business analysis deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, e.g., BRD, user stories, risks, assumptions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work along with the product owner and stakeholders to breakdown requirements to epics, stories, tasks.
  • Create test cases and participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions.
  • Support internal/external assurance and audit requirements.
  • Risk identification, risk reporting and devising interventions to mitigating risks.
  • Own the change management activities including diverse tasks such as timeline planning to stakeholder engagement.
  • Streamlining and improving operational activities.
  • Contributing to the BA chapters to improvise best practices across DAO ESG.

What you will need to succeed in the role:(Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

  • Overall 8+ years of experience in Data and analytics, Python, data governance, MI reporting projects.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or related roles; able to demonstrate experience in requirements management and stakeholder management.
  • Able to analyse data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate complex ideas and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems by developing innovative solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, collaborate with different stakeholders, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations.
  • Technical data knowledge; ETL understanding.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Lean, Kanban etc)
  • Hands-on experience of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Curiosity and drive to continue learning.
  • Experience in handing internal/external assurance and audit requirements.
  • Knowledge in data visualisation and business intelligence tools like Tableau or QlikView.

  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within ESG
  • Good understanding of the industry and the challenges and changes in the sector.
  • Covers a wide range of activities that require evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated perhaps novel situations
  • Seeks ways of improving and adapting day to day departmental activities and will actively seek authority to implement them
  • Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework. Broad guidelines are available. Role implements strategy set by others.
  • The role requires the ability to guide, persuade and influence others through the developed skills of communication and diplomacy.
  • The role requires the ability to negotiate and influence within their team with a high level of influence.
