Business Analytics Specialist

As a Business Analytics Specialist in the Data Automation & Visualization team based in Kolkata, you will play a crucial role in driving automation, advanced reporting, and insightful data analysis across various functional areas. Your passion for data, visualization, and delivering actionable insights will be instrumental in supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. Your responsibilities will include automating recurring reports, developing visually compelling dashboards, and providing support to functional areas like Finance, HR, Procurement, Strategy, and Commercial Operations with relevant models and reporting tools. You will be tasked with building and maintaining data models using tools such as Power BI, ensuring performance optimization best practices are incorporated. Additionally, transitioning existing QlikView reports to Power BI and collaborating with stakeholders to translate goals into clear data solutions will be part of your duties. Your technical skills should encompass proficiency in SQL and SSMS, advanced knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and Power Query, experience with PySpark and Azure Data Factory pipelines, familiarity with QlikView and migration to Power BI, as well as exposure to Power Automate and automation tools. An understanding of Agile development and project management methodologies, strong data modeling capabilities, and visualization skills are essential for this role. In addition to your technical expertise, soft skills and attributes like strong communication, interpersonal skills, organization, proactiveness, self-motivation, and result-oriented mindset are highly valued. Your ability to manage time effectively, deliver under pressure, work well in a team, and demonstrate a customer-centric approach will be critical.
