Business Analyst Technical

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with strong expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, process modeling, SQL, API understanding, and Agile methodology. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and QA to ensure smooth delivery of technical solutions.

Role & responsibilities

1. Requirement Gathering & Documentation

• Conduct requirement discussions with stakeholders and translate them into clear documentation.
• Prepare:

• Use Cases

• User Stories

• Functional Specifications (FS)

• Business Requirement Documents (BRD)

• System Requirement Specifications (SRS)

• Create process models using

  BPMN, UML, Flowcharts, Use Case Diagrams

  .
• Prepare and maintain

  Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)

  .

2. Tools & Platforms

Documentation & Modeling Tools

• Lucidchart
• Draw.io
• Balsamiq

Requirement & Project Tracking Tools

• JIRA
• Confluence
• Trello
• Asana
• Azure DevOps

3. Database & Querying

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of

  SQL

  .
• Ability to run queries for data validation and analysis.

4. APIs & Integration Knowledge

• Good understanding of

  REST APIs, JSON, XML

  .
• Ability to read, interpret, and validate API documentation.
• Hands-on experience using

  Postman

  and

  Swagger/OpenAPI

  .

5. Testing & Quality

• Support

  User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  .
• Prepare and review

  test scenarios and test cases

  .
• Familiarity with tools like

  TestRail, Zephyr

  , or Excel-based testing formats.

6. Agile/Scrum Methodology

• Practical experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  teams.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in

  Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration

  , or any related field;

  Master’s degree

  (MCA/M.Tech/MBA) is an added advantage.

• 2–7 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably in BFSI, Banking, NBFCs, MFIs, & other financial institutions

• Strong experience in

  requirement gathering, documentation (BRD, SRS, FS, User Stories), and process modelling

  using BPMN, UML, Flowcharts, and Use Case Diagrams.
• Solid understanding of

  Agile/Scrum methodologies

  and hands-on experience working in Agile teams using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with documentation and modeling tools such as

  Lucidchart, Draw.io, Balsamiq

  .
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with

  business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and product owners

  .
• Working knowledge of

  SQL

  for data validation and analysis; familiarity with Excel or Power BI is a plus.
• Understanding of

  REST APIs, JSON, XML

  , and experience using

  Postman/Swagger

  for API validation.
• Experience supporting

  UAT

  , preparing test cases, and collaborating with QA teams.
• Familiarity with testing tools like

  TestRail

  ,

  , or Excel-based templates.
