Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Summary: The Business Analyst is responsible for analysing and documenting business

processes, gathering and documenting business requirements, and ensuring that proposed

solutions meet business needs. They bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the

development team.

Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and manage business requirements from

stakeholders.

2. Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business

decisions.

3. Process Analysis: Evaluate and document current business processes and recommend

improvements.

4. System Analysis: Analyse existing systems, their functionalities, and limitations to identify

opportunities for enhancement.

5. Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive business requirements

documents, use cases, and user stories.

6. Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams,

ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements.

7. Testing Support: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define test cases and ensure

that the delivered solution meets the specified requirements.

8. Project Management: Assist in project planning, tracking, and management by providing

input on scope, timeline, and resource requirements.

9. Change Management: Support the implementation of new systems or processes, including

training and post-implementation support.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum, 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.

2. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with business analytical tools, as well as strong

understanding of technology and systems.

3. Project Management: Familiarity with project management concepts and methodologies-

Agile or SCRUM, Elicitation tools, Azure DevOps, JIRA.

4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect

complex business problems and provide feasible solutions.

5. Domain Knowledge: Depending on the industry, knowledge of specific business domains,

such as US healthcare, and/or US Mortgage, is required.

6. Certifications: Preferred-Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis

Professional (CBAP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).

7. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating detailed and organized documentation,

including business requirements, use cases, and process flows.

8. Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and facilitate

meetings and workshops.

9. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively

convey ideas and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

10. Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration,

Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
