Business Analyst

As a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with proven experience in the Healthcare domain, you will be playing a critical role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. Your primary focus will be on data validation and analysis to ensure data integrity and support healthcare data initiatives. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather and analyze business and data requirements in healthcare-related projects. Your responsibilities will include translating business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and data mapping documents. Additionally, you will be performing end-to-end data validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of healthcare data across systems. Understanding and documenting data flows across multiple healthcare platforms such as EHRs, claims systems, and data warehouses will be a key aspect of your role. You will create and execute test cases for data validation, ensuring data quality before, during, and after implementation. Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating data outputs and resolving data-related issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Identifying data discrepancies and anomalies, investigating root causes, and recommending solutions will be crucial. You will work closely with data engineers and QA teams to develop validation rules, test plans, and automated checks. Your role will also involve preparing comprehensive documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), data dictionaries, traceability matrices, and validation reports while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations when handling sensitive data. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Healthcare industry. Strong experience in data validation, data profiling, and data quality assessment is required. Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT, LOINC, EDI 837/835, etc., and proficiency in writing SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation are essential. Experience with tools like Excel, JIRA, Confluence, and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills are necessary for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or healthcare data lakes, knowledge of ETL processes, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and certification in healthcare analytics or business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, AHIMA, or similar).
