Business Analyst ( Edtech)

Job Title: Business Analyst EdTech

Experience: 2 to 4 years

Location: Chennai – Work From Office

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Business Analyst who can transform simple product ideas into

structured feature documents, detailed workflows, and mock UIs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding user needs, visualizing product flows, and documenting

functional requirements clearly for the development team.

You will work closely with the Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define what needs to be built and ensure

it is aligned with both business goals and user experience expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert one-line feature ideas or problem statements into clear and detailed requirement documents.

• Create feature briefs, user flow diagrams, and mock UIs/wireframes using tools like Figma, Balsamiq, or

Miro.

• Document functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira, Notion, or Confluence.

• Collaborate with developers and designers to clarify requirements and support them throughout

implementation.

• Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure delivered features match documented requirements.

• Maintain and update product documentation, feature lists, and version notes.

• Perform light data analysis or competitive research to support new ideas or improvements.

• Work with the Product Manager to refine the product backlog and prioritize features.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Associate BA, preferably in EdTech,

SaaS, or web/mobile product environments.

• Strong understanding of user journeys, UI/UX fundamentals, and functional documentation.

• Hands-on experience with wireframing tools (Figma, Miro, or Balsamiq).

• Familiarity with Jira, Notion, or Confluence for documentation and ticketing.

• Ability to break down abstract ideas into logical steps and actionable tasks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of APIs, data flow, and dashboards (added advantage).

• Curiosity to understand how educational workflows operate (students, teachers, admin roles, assessments,

etc.).

• Feature documentation and user stories (ready for development)

• Wireframes and flow diagrams for proposed features

• UAT checklists and validation notes
