Business Analyst

This is a contract position for 6 months

Role Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and sharp Business Analyst to strengthen our product and delivery documentation practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clear, structured documentation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires someone who is pursuant, disciplined, and thorough, with a knack for ensuring that past sprints and ongoing project documentation are complete, accurate, and easily referenceable.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain, and backfill documentation for past sprints, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Create and manage BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Sprint Reports.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Engineering teams to document requirements and sprint outcomes.

Act as the custodian of documentation standards, ensuring consistency and compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) & ISO 27001 (Information Security) practices.

Analyze user and business requirements, converting them into actionable features and tasks.

Support sprint planning by capturing requirements, dependencies, and risks.

Maintain traceability matrices and ensure all changes are properly documented and approved.

Engage actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) with a strong focus on documentation.

Continuously refine documentation frameworks to improve accessibility and usability across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments.

Strong expertise in documentation (BRDs, FRDs, sprint backlogs, traceability matrices).

Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to chase down missing details and follow through persistently until documentation is complete.

Knowledge of Agile practices, Scrum ceremonies, and sprint lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

Experience documenting requirements for web/mobile development projects.

Familiarity with ISO-aligned documentation standards.

Exposure to UI/UX collaboration and wireframing tools (Figma, Balsamiq, etc.).

Prior experience in client-facing documentation and sign-offs.
