Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Power BI Expertise:

  Strong proficiency in Power BI, including report creation, dashboards, data modelling, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Implement and manage security roles, row-level security (RLS), and data privacy measures to protect sensitive financial data.

• Data Integration:

  Experience integrating Power BI with diverse data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud-based data warehouses (AWS, Azure), and other external platforms.

• Data Visualization:

  Ability to create insightful and interactive data visualizations that help in making informed business decisions.

• SQL Knowledge:

  Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

• ETL Tools:

  Experience in using ETL tools and processes for cleaning, transforming, and loading data into Power BI for reporting.

• Understanding of Financial Metrics:

  In-depth understanding of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance industry, with the ability to identify and create solutions for key metrics like balance sheet, P&L, risk, credit scoring, repayment analysis, credit risk metrics (loan portfolio performance, NPAs, etc) and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Reports

  : Create and develop interactive dashboards, financial and operational reports, and KPI tracking reports for senior leadership, management, and business units within the NBFC lending profile.

• Data Modelling

  : Design, implement, and maintain efficient data models using Power BIs data modelling tools, ensuring high performance and scalability.

• Data Analysis

  : Analyse large datasets, generate insights, and produce reports that aid business decisions, specifically focusing on lending metrics, credit risk, portfolio performance, and financial trends.
• Translate complex financial data and metrics into clear visualizations, focusing on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that are critical in the BFSI domain.
• Implement drill-down features, filters, and slicers to enhance report interactivity and usability.

• ETL Process Implementation

  : Implement ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources to Power BI reports.

• Performance Optimization

  : Ensure optimized Power BI reports and dashboards, with a focus on reducing load times and improving the efficiency of queries and data models.

• Collaboration with Business Teams

  : Work closely with business users, analysts, and product teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights and tailored reporting solutions.
