Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst- Avaloq

Experience: 7-14 Years

Location: Mumbai (2 days/week)

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on Avaloq-related projects.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and workflows.
• Support Avaloq configuration, upgrades, and implementation projects across modules (Retail, Wealth Management, Treasury, or other banking domains).
• Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and Avaloq system functionality.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Prepare test scenarios, UAT plans, and support UAT execution.
• Assist in post-production support, resolving Avaloq system issues and coordinating with developers.
• Maintain documentation of business processes, functional specifications, and change requests.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize banking processes using Avaloq functionality.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other BAs to ensure timely project delivery.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Avaloq Core Banking projects (implementation, upgrade, or support).
• Strong knowledge of Avaloq modules: Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Treasury, or others.
• Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, functional documentation, gap analysis, and UAT.
• Familiarity with Avaloq configuration tools, Avaloq Script, and Avaloq Workflow Designer (if applicable).
• Solid understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of integration of Avaloq with ancillary systems (CRM, reporting tools, risk management, etc.).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with SQL or other reporting/query tools.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA or Confluence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Avaloq certification or formal training is a plus.
