Role Overview

The Bufferman will be responsible for carrying out buffing, grinding, and finishing operations on ferro alloy products to ensure required surface quality and dimensional accuracy. The role involves handling buffing machines, maintaining safety standards, and supporting smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate buffing, polishing, and grinding machines for ferro alloy materials.
• Ensure finished products meet specified surface finish and quality standards.
• Remove scale, rough edges, burrs, and surface defects from cast/processed materials.
• Follow operational guidelines to achieve productivity and quality targets.
• Inspect materials visually and with measuring tools for defects.
• Maintain buffing equipment in proper working condition.
• Comply with all plant safety protocols, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with production supervisors for smooth workflow.
• Record daily production and machine maintenance data.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Hands-on experience in buffing, grinding, or polishing operations.
• Knowledge of handling different grades of ferro alloys/metal surfaces.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Ability to work in shifts and under high-temperature plant conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Minimum 10th pass / ITI in Fitter/Grinder/Relevant Trade preferred.
• Experience: 2–5 years in buffing/grinding operations in steel/ferro alloys/metal industry.
