Broadcast Journalist

Republic TV is looking for journalists on the News Desk.

The appropriate candidate should have 2 to 5 years of experience on the Output, Input, Research teams of any English language Broadcast channel.

A deep interest and immersion in news, current affairs and general knowledge is mandatory.

A strong educational foundation will be appreciated.

The ideal candidates should have a passion and experience in Breaking News, Handling Rundowns, Writing Tickers, Sourcing Exclusives, Commissioning Stories and Writing Scripts.

Above all, the right temperament to work in a fast paced energetic 24/7 newsroom will make you the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 to 5 years of newsroom experience (preferably from print or broadcast media).

Strong command over English with sharp writing and editing skills.

Deep understanding of national and international affairs, politics, and current events.

Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to perform under pressure.

Coordination skills suited to a high-energy newsroom environment.
