Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

Drive general insurance business through agency (individual agents, POSPs, or advisors).
Meet or exceed branch sales targets for premium collection and policy issuance.
Identify local market opportunities and create strategies for growth.
Ensure effective implementation of marketing and business development initiatives.

Team Management & Development

Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing agency sales force (agents/POSPs).
Monitor agent productivity and support them in achieving individual targets.
Conduct regular training, motivation sessions, and performance reviews.

Operational Management

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the branch.
Oversee policy processing, documentation, endorsements, and renewals.
Maintain coordination with the underwriting, claims, and service teams.
Ensure timely MIS/reporting to regional/zonal heads.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to IRDAI and company compliance norms.
Implement company policies and code of conduct at the branch level.
Manage grievance redressal and ensure quality customer service.
