Branch Credit Manager-Rural

Role Overview: As a Branch Credit Manager-Rural in the Retail Underwriting department, your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire credit application process, from login to disbursement. You will play a key role in implementing credit policy initiatives and ensuring the quality of the portfolio. Direct interaction with consumers is essential to assess their creditworthiness, complete verifications, and adhere to company credit policies. Your actions should align with both sales support and risk management objectives of the bank. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct credit appraisals for loans to mitigate business risks according to norms. - Maintain Credit Turnaround Time (TAT) to drive business growth. - Manage delinquencies by conducting personal visits to customers and analyzing root causes. - Perform random visits to verify the authenticity of contact points. - Handle post-disbursement documents and partly disbursed cases. - Maintain credit Management Information System (MIS) and generate required management reports. - Ensure audit compliance for the branch and assist in operational activities. - Monitor and evaluate the retail credit portfolio regularly, providing recommendations for adjustments. - Contribute to portfolio management programs such as limit increases and loan postponements. - Propose process changes to enhance service efficiency and quality in the assigned area. - Recommend improvements to processes and policies in Retail Banking for operational efficiencies and improved customer service.
