Job Summary:

The Branch Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the bank’s branches and other units. This position involves conducting risk-based audits, analyzing data, and ensuring that internal controls are effectively implemented and followed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit Planning & Execution
   • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of risk-based audit plans for branches and other units.
   • Conduct audits in accordance with standard audit procedures and checklists.
2. Data Analysis
   • Analyze various reports and data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
3. Audit Fieldwork
   • Perform on-site audits to assess compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
   • Engage in discussions with auditees to understand processes and clarify audit findings.
4. Reporting
   • Finalize audit reports with clear documentation of findings, risks, and recommendations.
   • Review responses from auditees and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Qualifications:

• CA & Postgraduate in Commerce/Accountancy.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with audit tools and data analysis techniques.
• Willingness to travel to branch locations in home and neighbouring states.
• Exposure of Internal Audit for Retail Branches (Liabilities) is must.
• Must have worked on Regularise notices at Branches, Deceased account, NRE NRO taxation and provision, lockers related guidelines etc.
