Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Supervision and Staff Management

Overseeing and mentoring nurses, assigning patients, and creating work schedules.
Monitoring staffing needs and ensuring adequate coverage.

Patient Care Coordination:

Assessing patients' physical and emotional well-being, managing symptoms and side effects.
Overseeing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Resource Management:

Ordering and monitoring medical supplies, medications, and other resources.

Quality Assurance:

Implementing quality care assessments and audits.
Participating in performance improvement activities and quality management.

Communication and Collaboration:

Acting as a point of contact for patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Facilitating communication and resolving conflicts.

Key Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
Ability to anticipate potential problems and develop strategies to address them.
Knowledge of BMT procedures, complications, and nursing care.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
