Preferred candidate profile

ANM / REGISTERED STAFF NURSE (BSc / DGNM)

• Qualification: ANM / DHA/ DNA / BSc Nursing / DGNM with (Nursing Registration) Freshers without Registration will be hired as Trainee
• Experience: 1 to 10 years
• Should be pleasant looking and well disciplined.
• Should able to work for minimum 2 years.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Role & responsibilities

CTOT:

• Handing over and taking over charge of patients, procedures done and inventory in each shift.
• checking the working condition of the equipment and materials in the CT-OT periodically and report to the maintenance department if any problem identified immediately.
• Understand the medical equipment in CT-OT and operate it.
• Follow the OT protocols and infection control measures.
• Maintenance of therapeutic and hygienic environment in the CT-OT.
• Ensure the proper sterilisation of all the articles used before and after the surgery.
• Ensure the proper arrangement of crash cart in the CT-OT.
• Maintain Inventory of drugs properly.
• Maintaining Narcotic drugs safely and proper documentation of narcotic drugs.
• Keeping the OT clean and tidy.
• Maintain the operating room safety protocols.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of Crash carts, dressing trolleys, cupboards, apparatus, equipments, mechanical ventilators, cardiac monitors, etc.
• Care of clean and soiled linen.
• Disinfection of linen, beds, and sterilisation of articles and fumigation of rooms etc.
• Preparation of dressing trays, trolleys and sets before starting any surgical procedure.
• Fumigating the OT.
• Indenting of surgical supplies.
• Participation in professional activities
• Demonstration and supervision of domestic staff
• Reporting any untoward incidents to OT-in-charge.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time.
• All needed records to be maintained properly.

OT:

• Prepare the operating theatre by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Check functionality and sterility of instruments and supplies.
• Confirm and cross-check surgical lists and patient details.
• Scrub, gown, and glove in accordance with aseptic techniques.
• Assist in positioning and prepping the patient for surgery.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical assistants during procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain the sterile field and monitor for any breaches.
• Count instruments, sponges, and needles with the circulating nurse before and after surgery.
• Handle specimens correctly for lab processing.
• Assist with wound dressing and application of post-operative care devices.
• Ensure proper disposal of used instruments and medical waste.
• Decontaminate and restock instruments and equipment.
• Document all procedures and instrument counts accurately.
