As a Senior Software Developer specializing in BMC Remedy, your role at CGI will involve the following key responsibilities: - Designing and developing codeless and SDK-based applications using BMC Helix Innovation Studio. - Defining record definitions, processes, views, and rules, and building custom REST-based integrations. - Extending the platform using Helix SDK to create custom Java services, connectors, and UI components. - Deploying reusable sub-processes and integration bundles for scalable automation. - Designing, configuring, and customizing DWP service catalog items, workflows, and UI forms. - Creating multi-step approvals, conditional logic, and custom notifications. - Integrating DWP with ITSM, Innovation Studio, and external systems for unified service experience. - Working on DWP-C (Catalog) for custom workflow automation and advanced user experience design. - Enhancing Smart IT interfaces through custom fields, overlays, and contextual views. - Integrating Smart IT with Helix GPT, enabling AI-driven agent assistance and predictive recommendations. - Optimizing incident and change management workflows to align with business SLAs. - Implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ensuring alignment with ITIL standards. - Customizing and extending ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, SRM). - Developing auto-assignment rules, categorizations, and integrations that enhance service delivery. - Building, testing, and maintaining REST/SOAP API-based integrations with third-party systems. - Designing AI-powered workflows with Helix GPT, including natural language-based incident creation, knowledge search, and contextual automation. - Developing prompt-driven workflows using Helix GPT connectors and Innovation Studio sub-processes. - Designing and configuring multi-tenant solutions for global clients. - Implementing data isolation, tenant-aware workflows, and access control mechanisms. - Managing cross-tenant deployments, ensuring compliance and scalability. - Analyzing workflow failures, process errors, and integration issues. - Reviewing logs, diagnosing platform-level errors, and coordinating with BMC SaaS operations when needed. - Providing post-deployment validation and performance tuning. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 4-6 years of experience in BMC Helix platform development, including ITSM, DWP, DWP-C, and Innovation Studio. - Strong knowledge of Helix SDK, Java, REST API development, JSON, and SQL. - Proven experience designing complex process workflows and integration architectures. - Hands-on experience in Helix GPT configuration and AI workflow design. - Expertise in CMDB, ITSM, and DWP catalog administration. - Familiarity with Smart IT customization, multitenant architecture, and Helix Platform deployment. - Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4 processes. Preferred qualifications include BMC Certifications in Helix Innovation Studio / SDK Development, Helix ITSM / DWP-C, and Helix GPT Foundations. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for Helix applications and familiarity with Helix Platform containerization (OCP/Kubernetes) would be beneficial.
