Role Description

BIS Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive guidance on BIS Certification requirements.
• Assist clients in identifying the applicable BIS standards and categories for their products.
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of the BIS application and required documentation.
• Coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtain the necessary test reports.
• Ensure products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite the certification process.
• Track and monitor the status of applications, ensuring timely follow-up and approval.
• Advise clients on testing and post-certification compliance.
• Provide ongoing support to clients in maintaining compliance, managing renewals, and addressing any regulatory concerns.
• Stay updated with changes in BIS regulations, especially for products under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering will be preferable.
• 0-2 years of working experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.
• Knowledge of BIS portal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
