Job Description

Reviewing the day’s menu and order requirements. Receiving deliveries and checking stock for freshness, quality, and quantities. Organizing kitchen staff to prepare ingredients, chop, marinate, etc. Prepping and portioning ingredients for different meal services. Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas. Checking temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms. Maintaining hygiene protocols in compliance with health standards. During this time, they might work on more in-depth tasks like marinating meats assembling dishes that need longer cooking times. Cooking large batches of food that will be served throughout the day. Ensuring that the food meets quality standards and is ready for packaging or delivery. Supervising staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, and managing time. Packing and labeling prepared food for service or delivery. Portioning meals as required for different locations. Actively participate in cooking and plating dishes. Handle any special guest requests or modifications to the menu. Monitor the flow of orders to ensure there are no delays or errors. Supervise kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and ensure food safety standards are being followed. Supervise cleaning of stations used during lunch service. Managing inventory and restocking the kitchen with required ingredients. Cleaning up after meals are served. Re-stocking shelves and organizing for the dinner operation.
