Bioinformatics Engineer

As a Bioinformatician at Nuvo AI Pvt Ltd, a Meril Group Company, located in Vapi, Gujarat, your role will involve supporting AI-driven healthcare initiatives by bridging biology and data science. You will be responsible for validating AI outputs, enhancing training datasets, and ensuring biological accuracy across models to achieve a target of <1% error rate in biological validations. Key Responsibilities: - Validate AI-generated biological outputs for accuracy and consistency. - Build and curate high-quality training datasets to improve model performance. - Map and normalize ontologies across various biological databases. - Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to interpret and refine biological datasets. - Identify and resolve biological edge cases through domain expertise. - Ensure data and annotation compliance with industry standards and regulatory expectations. Required Technical Skills: - Databases: OMIM, Ensembl, OpenTargets, GEO, ArrayExpress, GeneCards, etc. - Tools & Frameworks: Bioconductor, Galaxy, bioinformatics pipelines. - Expertise in ontology mapping, data normalization, and annotation consistency. - Strong understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics data formats. Qualifications: - Masters or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related field. - 2-6 years of experience in applied bioinformatics or biomedical data validation. - Prior experience collaborating with AI/ML teams preferred.
