Bioinformatics Engineer

As a Bioinformatician at Nuvo AI Pvt Ltd, you will play a crucial role in supporting AI-driven healthcare initiatives by bridging biology and data science. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Validating AI-generated biological outputs for accuracy and consistency. - Building and curating high-quality training datasets to enhance model performance. - Mapping and normalizing ontologies across different biological databases. - Collaborating with AI engineers and data scientists to interpret and refine biological datasets. - Identifying and resolving biological edge cases through your domain expertise. - Ensuring data and annotation compliance with industry standards and regulatory expectations. Your role will require proficiency in various technical skills, including: - Databases: OMIM, Ensembl, OpenTargets, GEO, ArrayExpress, GeneCards, etc. - Tools & Frameworks: Bioconductor, Galaxy, bioinformatics pipelines. - Expertise in: Ontology mapping, data normalization, and annotation consistency. - Strong understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics data formats. To qualify for this position, you should have: - A Masters or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field. - 2-6 years of experience in applied bioinformatics or biomedical data validation. - Prior experience collaborating with AI/ML teams is preferred.
