BIM Modelers

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Model Creation:

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for substation components including civil, structural, and electrical elements.

  • Create Revit families and templates where required.

  • Ensure models accurately reflect design information and project specifications.

• Model Updates:

  • Incorporate ongoing design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Keep models current with equipment specifications and design revisions.

• Clash Detection:

  • Conduct regular clash detection using tools like Navisworks.

  • Identify and resolve spatial conflicts in coordination with the project team.

• Detailing and Documentation:

  • Generate plans, sections, elevations, and construction drawings from BIM models.

  • Ensure documentation meets required project standards.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers and cross-discipline teams to ensure models align with design intent.

  • Participate in regular coordination meetings to share and review models.

• Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular model audits to maintain accuracy and consistency.

  • Ensure all modeling work complies with internal standards and ISO 19650.

• Support & Communication:

  • Assist in developing BIM best practices within the team.

  • Communicate clearly with team members on model changes, updates, and coordination issues.

Skills & Requirements

• Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Certification in BIM technology is an advantage.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably within substation or utility projects.

  • Autodesk Revit

• Technical Skills:

  • Good understanding of substation design principles.

  • Proficiency in clash detection and BIM documentation workflows.

  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards is a strong advantage.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
