BIM MEP Coordinator

Job Purpose

The BIM MEP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services within BIM models to ensure accurate design, clash-free integration, and smooth execution of project deliverables. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams, managing BIM workflows, and ensuring adherence to project standards.

Key Responsibilities1. BIM Coordination & Model Management

• Develop, manage, and update MEP BIM models using Revit / Navisworks / other required software.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model accuracy.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts with relevant teams.
• Maintain model quality as per company and project standards.
• Prepare federated models and ensure proper linking and referencing.

2. Project Documentation & Deliverables

• Produce coordinated MEP drawings, sections, schedules, and detailed shop drawings.
• Ensure all BIM outputs meet client requirements, LOD standards, and project specifications.
• Support preparation of BOQs, material take-offs, and construction documentation.

3. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and external consultants.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate design issues or conflicts effectively.
• Update project teams on model changes, design progress, and technical risks.

4. Standards & Quality Control

• Ensure all models comply with company BIM standards, templates, and naming conventions.
• Assist in developing BIM execution plans (BEP) and support BIM implementation on projects.
• Conduct internal reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.

5. Technical Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide BIM-related support to design and site teams.
• Optimize workflows and adopt best practices for improved efficiency.
• Stay updated with latest BIM tools, plugins, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methods.
• Expertise in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
• Good understanding of LOD (100–500), BEP, and BIM standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in BIM MEP coordination.
• Experience in large-scale projects (buildings, infrastructure, commercial, industrial) is an advantage.
• Certifications in BIM tools or BIM management preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
