Job Description

Job Title:

Job Summary:

The Billing Executive will be responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, managing billing transactions, maintaining billing records, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. The role requires attention to detail, speed, customer service skills, and basic financial understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and process customer bills/invoices accurately and quickly.
Handle cash, credit/debit card, UPI, and other forms of payments.
Verify pricing, discounts, and promotions during billing.
Maintain cash register and ensure end-of-day cash tallying.
Assist customers with queries related to billing and payments.
Maintain records of daily transactions and prepare reports as needed.
Ensure compliance with store policies and government tax regulations (like GST).
Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds following the store's policy.
Coordinate with inventory and sales teams for stock and billing issues.
Report discrepancies, if any, immediately to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum HSC (12th Grade); Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience in retail billing or cashier role preferred.
Knowledge of billing software (POS systems) is an advantage.
Good understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word).
Basic understanding of taxation (e.g., GST).
Strong customer service and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle pressure and manage peak-hour rush efficiently.
Trustworthy, punctual, and disciplined.

Work Environment:

Based at the store front desk / billing counter.
May involve weekend and holiday shifts depending on store hours.
