Billing Engineer Interior Projects

As a Billing Engineer, your role will involve managing and streamlining billing and quantity estimation processes for high-end interior fit-out projects. You will be responsible for tasks such as BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, client billing, and subcontractor billing while closely coordinating with project, procurement, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and verify Bill of Quantities based on drawings and site conditions. - Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural, MEP, and interior drawings. - Prepare client bills according to contract terms and site progress. - Coordinate with the site team for progress measurement and certification. - Raise and verify subcontractor bills as per their work scope and measurements. - Regularly visit sites to verify quantities and ensure alignment with planned as-built conditions. - Liaise with site engineers and project managers for timely billing updates. - Maintain records of work orders, variations, rate analysis, and contracts. - Ensure all billing is compliant with approved drawings and specifications. - Monitor cost vs. budget, highlight variances, and provide input on project profitability and cash flow reports. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. - 3-5 years of experience in billing for interior fit-out projects. - Strong knowledge of interior design elements, materials, and MEP services. - Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/Billing software. - Good understanding of contracts, rate analysis, and estimation. - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with commercial, residential, or retail interiors. - Familiarity with IS codes, CPWD norms, and standard measurement books (D.S.R.).
