You are sought after to be a part of our pet store team as a friendly and responsible staff member. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers, caring for animals, ensuring store cleanliness, and contributing to sales growth by offering exceptional service and product expertise. You will be expected to greet and aid customers in making purchases and answering pet-related inquiries. Operating the cash register, managing transactions, and processing returns/exchanges will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, maintaining product displays, and ensuring items are well-stocked. Your role will involve assisting in the feeding, cleaning, and general care of animals such as fish, small mammals, and reptiles. Upholding cleanliness and safety standards in the store will be crucial. Educating customers on pet care, food, toys, and other products, as well as receiving and handling inventory shipments, will be integral to your role. Adherence to store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines is essential. Collaborating with team members to achieve store goals and deliver a positive shopping experience to customers will be part of your daily routine. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, though it is preferred. Previous experience in retail or customer service will be beneficial. A passion for animals and a basic understanding of pet care are necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. Comfort in handling animals of various sizes and species is a must. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work at our store location.,
