Big Data Architect - Vice President

As an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst at Citigroup, your role involves establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Architect Data solutions for Big Data Platform - Provide solutions for business data use cases and convert them into technical implementations - Ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint - Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation - Gain comprehensive knowledge of how different areas of business integrate to achieve business goals - Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions - Coach mid-level developers and analysts - Assess risk when making business decisions and ensure compliance with laws and regulations Qualifications and Skillset: - 12 to 19 years of experience in Data development, SQL programming, Py Spark, Java Spark, Impala, Hive, HDFS, and other Big Data Technologies - Extensive work on Big Data Projects for high data volume processing, real-time streaming, and batch processes using Spark - Expertise in developing ingestion pipeline for Big Data Platform - Proficient in performance improvement techniques for Data Storage, Data Delivery, and SQL Queries - Thorough knowledge of Data Models and Entity relationships - Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Big Data Development - Ability to adjust priorities quickly - Demonstrated leadership and project management skills - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience - Masters degree preferred Please note that this job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed.
