Purpose

As a BI Developer, you design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision-making. Create and optimize data models, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders. Collaborate with teams to enhance data processes and drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain business intelligence (BI) solutions by designing, coding, testing, and documenting reports and dashboards to support business decision-making processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring BI solutions align with business goals.
Optimize and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, usability, and efficiency, ensuring that solutions are scalable and meet the evolving needs of the business.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the BI platform, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis.
Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure continuous data availability and reliability.
Conduct data analysis and provide insights that help business teams make informed decisions, leveraging data visualization tools to present findings effectively.
Maintain and enforce data governance standards within the BI environment, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
Continuously improve technical skills by staying up-to- with industry trends, tools, and technologies relevant to BI development.
Support and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and sharing best practices to enhance the team s overall BI capabilities.

Education

Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field is required. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), or AWS Certified Data Analytics are strongly preferred. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and BI platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is essential for effective performance. A masters degree in data science, business analytics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior analytical role.
