Bearings Engineer

As a Bearings Engineer at Senvion, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall new product qualification and development activities related to Wind Turbine Rotor bearing, Pitch & Yaw bearings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams at multiple locations, ensuring the successful coordination of qualification development activities from requirement analysis to prototype development and validation. Key Responsibilities: - Design Mechanical Components for multi-megawatt wind turbines, providing extended support on lifting, assembly, installation, service, and maintenance. - Conduct design reviews of technical specifications and drawings of bearings, and compare different bearing designs from various vendors. - Formulate project plans and charters, control certification documentation, and resolve queries effectively. - Communicate progress, risks, milestones, and other relevant information to all teams involved in the program execution. - Review technical specifications and Proto drawings for release in SAP, as well as serial drawings, specifications, and procedures. - Ensure vendor compliance with certification and design documentation requirements by conducting prototype testing at the supplier end. - Collaborate closely with other development departments such as Turbine engineering, supply chain, production, installation, and O&M. - Provide support for prototype assembly at the plant and generate cost-saving ideas for design implementation. - Ensure 100% compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) processes and conduct prototype components field evaluation for validation at the site. - Troubleshoot technical problems and guide Field Engineers in technical aspects, including SCADA data evaluation and root cause analysis of field failures through turbine data. Desired Professional Experience / Competencies: - 10-12+ years of experience in the relevant field. - Proficiency in bearing calculation and analysis is a must. - Experience in GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Casting, Forging, and Machining. - Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Ansys Workbench. - Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.,
