BBS Engineer

As a Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) Engineer at our company in Jaipur, your role will involve preparing and managing detailed BBS for reinforced concrete structures. You will be responsible for translating structural drawings into accurate schedules, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring precise execution of reinforcement work to maintain the structural integrity of the project. **Key Responsibilities:** - **BBS Preparation:** Prepare detailed Bar Bending Schedules based on structural drawings and design specifications, ensuring accuracy in quantities, sizes, and bending details. - **Drawing Interpretation:** Accurately interpret structural drawings and blueprints to determine the required reinforcement details. - **Coordination with Site Teams:** Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure correct placement of reinforcement bars as per the BBS. - **Material Management:** Estimate and manage the quantity of reinforcement steel required, coordinating with procurement teams for timely availability. - **Quality Assurance:** Ensure adherence to quality standards, design specifications, and industry norms in all reinforcement work. - **Compliance & Documentation:** Maintain compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Document BBS and related activities for quality control and audit. - **Site Visits & Inspections:** Conduct regular site visits to inspect reinforcement bars placement, verify compliance with BBS, and address any issues. - **Reporting:** Prepare and submit reports on BBS progress, material usage, and deviations from design. - **Problem-Solving:** Identify and resolve issues related to reinforcement detailing or placement affecting project integrity. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. - **Experience:** 5 years of experience in preparing Bar Bending Schedules and working with reinforcement detailing in construction projects. In addition to the above, your role will require attention to detail, technical proficiency in structural drawings and reinforcement detailing, effective coordination with site teams, proactive problem-solving skills, and strong documentation abilities.
