You will be responsible for working as an Electrical Engineer with experience in basic and detailed design, as well as project co-ordination of Electrical works on Infrastructure, Energy, Manufacturing & Technology, and M&M projects. It is required that you have executed at least two medium to large size EPC projects as an Electrical Lead / Engineering Group Supervisor in an engineering office or consultancy of repute. Furthermore, you should have a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical design, understanding the principles and practices of related technical areas, and coordinating with other technical disciplines. Exposure to Indian, US, Euro, and other foreign codes/standards and local practices is also necessary. You will also assist and provide guidance to engineers in performing conceptual design, System study, Equipment sizing, MR/SR preparation, bid analysis reviews, and recommendations. Position Overview: The General Manager - BESS Product Development will be a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end BESS Product Development lifecycle of BESS solutions, from cell-to-module to pack-to-BESS assembly. This includes expertise in battery technology, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), liquid cooling systems, fire suppression systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS). The role demands deep knowledge of BESS product design, development, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Product Development and Strategy : Lead the design, development, and optimization of BESS products, ensuring integration of advanced battery technologies, PCS, liquid cooling systems, fire suppression systems, BMS, and EMS. Proven track record in product development and manufacturing in leading battery or BESS companies in India or abroad. Hands-on experience with battery technologies (e.g., Lithium-ion, LFP, NMC), PCS, liquid cooling systems, fire suppression systems, BMS, and EMS. In-depth knowledge of battery manufacturing processes, specifically module assembly, pack assembly, and BESS integration. Technical Skills : Expertise in battery technology, thermal management, and power electronics. Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., UL 9540, IEC 62619, BIS). Proficiency in BMS and EMS software development and integration. Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
