Role & responsibilities

• Leading the manufacturing operation Flow of Battery from raw material to shipment.
• Management of front-line manufacturing employee mainly technician and involve engineer if technically required.
• Evenly distribute workload to avoid bottleneck in production.
• Developing profound knowledge of technical discipline (7S, Quality Tool and Process Documents).
• Ensuring all manufacturing works are perform in compliance to company policy, in accordance with business priority, standard SOP, quality and EHS requirement.
• Has ability to propose different/straight forward solution outside of set parameter. Resourceful in solving various manufacturing issue and apply LEAN concept in manufacturing line.
• Prepare detail progress of manufacturing progress, forecast, identifying potential roadblock and serve as escalation contact to resolve them with internal or external resources.
• Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis.(Plan vs Achievement).
• Update the production plan on a daily basis.(Production MIS and DPR)
• Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met.(Material inventory daily, weekly and yearly)
• Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis.(OEE calculation and improvements)
• Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
• Produce written reports and make presentations (Weekly and monthly production reports).
• Undertake continuous training and development
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems(8D,Why-Why, 5W2H)
• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required(PFC,FMEA,CP,PPAP,SPC)
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department(Conducts Safety Audits and take care overall plant safety)
• Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
• Hands of experience in Cell chemistry, Capacity test, EOL testing and BMS functioning).
• Trouble shooting on Machines

Preferred candidate profile

• Min. 5-10yrs of Work-experience in Production & related activities in Manufacturing preferably Battery production
• Knowledge of Lean concept
• Thorough knowledge of reading & understanding Drawings of Electro-Mechanical assemblies.
• Thorough Knowledge of assembly of Battery manufacturing
• Through knowledge of best practices on shop floor
• Experience in working in Li ion battery is preferred
