About the Role

Basketball Coach

Key Responsibilities

• Train students in basketball fundamentals, techniques, and match strategies.
• Plan structured practice sessions for different age groups (Under-14, Under-17, and senior teams).
• Identify talent and build competitive school teams.
• Organise fitness drills and conditioning sessions to improve stamina and agility.
• Mentor students on sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
• Ensure safety protocols during training and matches.
• Maintain attendance, performance records, and training reports.
• Coordinate with the Sports Department for tournaments, fixtures, and equipment needs.
• Prepare players for inter-school championships and other competitive events.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a basketball coach (school/academy/club).
• Strong understanding of game rules, techniques, and competitive play.
• Ability to mentor students with patience, motivation, and sports ethics.
• Physical fitness and ability to demonstrate drills.
• Certification in sports coaching (preferred but not mandatory).
• Good communication and team management skills.
