Baseline Surveyor
Qualifications:
- Any Graduate.
- Prior experience in land surveying and dealing with government records.
- Experience visiting government offices or working within a government organization is preferred.
- Must have a
valid driving license
and be proficient in riding a bike
. - Should be
willing and prepared to travel across India
, including short-notice travel calls. - Should be physically fit and optionally able to ride a bike
30-50 km in one go
. - Strong interpersonal and
communication skills
are essential. - Must have the ability to
convince and coordinate with government officials and site stakeholders
. - Must have knowledge of
quality control
procedures and handover/takeover
protocols. - Must have prior experience to handle vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surveying & Baseline Control:
- Conduct baseline, and layout surveys using GPS, Jiotech app etc.
2. Data Collection & Mapping:
- Collect accrual field data, including name location documents and other utilities as required.
- Interpret old land records, layouts, and legal documents as needed.
3. Field Logistics & Travel Readiness:
- Travel independently to various sites across India, often at short notice.
- Arrange required labor and additional site support staff as needed.
- Handle on-site logistics, including materials and manpower arrangement.
4. Coordination & Liaison:
- Liaise with
government officials
, engineers, and clients for approvals, land access, and data collection. - Assist in creating and submitting
demand letters or documentation
where necessary. - Provide technical input during field disputes or survey mismatches.
- Possess convincing skills to handle public interactions and negotiations.
5. Quality Assurance & Handover:
- Monitor and ensure quality and accuracy of all survey work.
- Handle documentation for
handover and takeover
of work at various project stages. - Regularly calibrate and maintain surveying instruments.
- Maintain organized records of site visits, data collected, and project progress.
6. Vendor Identification & Coordination:
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with
local vendors or suppliers
for survey-related tools, logistics, and manpower as per site requirements. - Ensure timely procurement and delivery of required materials or services to maintain uninterrupted site operations.
7. Project Supervision & Implementation Support:
- Actively
monitor ongoing survey and project-related activities
to ensure timelines, quality, and compliance are maintained. - Work closely with the project team to
resolve on-site challenges
and ensure smooth implementation of work as per the project plan.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range:
20,000 25,000 per month + Incentives
