Barista

Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve all hot and cold beverages on the Venn menu with consistency and accuracy (espresso-based drinks, pour-overs if introduced, signature drinks, etc.). Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment efficiently and safely. Maintain high standards of quality for coffee, milk texture, taste, and presentation. Follow recipes, portion standards, and SOPs for all drinks. Handle customer orders with friendly, professional service. Ensure the coffee bar is clean, stocked, and organized at all times. Assist in daily opening and closing duties. Monitor inventory for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and consumables; report shortages to the manager. Assist with training junior baristas when required. Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per café guidelines. Support café operations beyond the bar (floor support, packing, basic cashiering) during rush hours. Skills & Qualifications 6 months–2 years of barista experience preferred (but passion and willingness to learn also considered). Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and basic coffee brewing principles. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic math and POS handling skills. Team player with a positive attitude.
