Job Description

A barista is a trained professional who prepares and serves coffee and other beverages, typically in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant setting. Beyond just making coffee, a barista ensures a welcoming customer experience and maintains cleanliness and efficiency behind the counter. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: 1. Coffee Preparation: Prepare espresso-based drinks (e.g., cappuccino, latte, americano). Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment. Follow standard recipes for consistency and quality. 2. Customer Service: Greet customers and take orders politely. Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations. Handle payments and provide receipts. 3. Food & Beverage Service: Serve pastries, snacks, and sometimes light meals. Ensure all food items are presented neatly and hygienically. 4. Cleanliness & Hygiene: Keep the workstation, coffee machines, and utensils clean. Follow food safety and sanitation standards. 5. Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies. Inform the manager when reordering is needed. 6. Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members during busy hours. Support colleagues in customer service or kitchen tasks as needed. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month Schedule: Fixed shift Work Location: In person
