Job Description

As part of the CS application decommissioning project, there are several environments that require exporting data into the formal regulatory archive system. Some of the required data is historical, necessitating a restore process from tape for certain applications before loading the backup dump into a database and exporting it into the regulatory archive. It is estimated that there are approximately 50 applications within this scope, each requiring between 10 and 250 restores. The restoration process involves tape management, including selection and retrieval from vaults (which will be done in bulk), restoring the data to designated storage, and coordinating with the application team to load it into the database. The successful candidate for this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and accurate transfer of data into the regulatory archive.,
