Backend- Staff Engineer

As a Senior Engineer in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) squad, you will be responsible for architecting and optimizing authentication standards, developing scalable IAM components, driving innovation, collaborating cross-functionally, and mentoring and leading team members. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect & Optimize Authentication Standards: You will build and enhance protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM to ensure secure access to services. - Develop Scalable IAM Components: Your role involves delivering high-performance services for authentication, authorization, and user management. - Drive Innovation: You will advance RBAC/ABAC models, session lifecycle management, and enterprise onboarding experiences to improve the IAM platform. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, design, and platform teams to deliver secure, user-first APIs. - Mentor & Lead: Share your expertise, champion best practices, and contribute to shaping the technical strategy of the team. **Qualifications Required:** - 6+ years of experience in building complex, distributed applications at scale. - Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and strong knowledge of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, WebSockets, etc.). - Expertise in databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar, with a focus on performance and reliability. - Bonus: Hands-on experience with IAM and authentication protocols like OAuth, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, and ABAC. - A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with a passion for solving high-impact problems.
